Vicente Medina Senior WordPress Developer Barcelona, ES
Figma in. WordPress out.
I’m Vicente, a Valencian developer in Barcelona. I build custom WordPress sites, pixel-perfect on the outside and solid on the inside: plugins with business logic, third-party API integrations, architecture, performance and accessibility.

01 — How I work
From the Figma file to production.
-
01
Design
I read the Figma file like a spec: tokens, spacing, states and breakpoints.
-
02
Build
Every section becomes a custom Gutenberg block with fluid type and clean BEM markup.
-
03
Ship
Accessible, fast and editable by the client. Reviewed, tested and deployed.
02 — About
A Valencian building for the web, from Barcelona.
I started out tweaking my own Blogger templates and running phpBB forums. That’s how I learned HTML, CSS and PHP: one broken layout at a time.
Today I’m a senior developer at Omitsis, turning detailed Figma designs into custom WordPress sites for hotels in Europe, the US and Mexico. I care about the details clients don’t always see: accessibility, performance, clean code and blocks their teams can edit without touching a line of code.
The problems I enjoy most are the ones a ready-made plugin can’t solve: an integration with an external system, a form with complex rules, a site that has to be migrated, secured or made faster. I also like owning the technical decisions behind them: reviewing the architecture, choosing what to build and what to reuse, and thinking about how it will be maintained.
And I care about how the whole team works, not just my part: I’ve led and trained development teams, I write technical proposals and estimates, and lately I build AI-assisted tooling to review code, generate blocks and document projects, so the team ships faster without cutting corners.

03 — What I do
What I actually do.
-
01
Custom WordPress development
vm_build_site( $figma_file );Figma designs turned into pixel-perfect sites, with custom Gutenberg blocks clients can edit without code. Design tokens, fluid type and consistent spacing on every screen.
-
02
Plugins with real business logic
vm_register_plugin( $requirements );When an off-the-shelf plugin isn’t enough: complex forms and validation, role-based admin panels, PDF generation and REST API integrations with external systems.
-
03
Accessibility, WCAG 2.2 AA
vm_audit_a11y( $url );Audits and fixes so anyone can use the site: automated scans with axe-core, manual review and verification in production.
-
04
Technical SEO & performance
vm_optimize( $core_web_vitals );Structured data, hreflang for multilingual sites, caching and CDN setup, and Core Web Vitals in the green.
-
05
Infrastructure & security
vm_deploy( $env = 'production' );Self-managed Linux servers over SSH, Plesk, cPanel and Docker environments, server hardening and protection against attacks, nginx with CSP and security headers, controlled updates across many sites at once and platform migrations, including headless architectures.
-
06
Technical consulting
vm_estimate( $project );Architecture reviews, project estimates and reusable frameworks that speed up similar builds.
